The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas county is eager to announce their Volunteer Luncheon. This Lunch event will take place on October 7th, from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the CAC, 8652 Campbellton St. Douglasville GA. The CAC will be providing a free lunch and a volunteer information session during this event. The Volunteer Luncheon is a great event for all interesting in serving the community through the arts!

CAC volunteers answer the phone, register students for art classes, take reservations for upcoming events, answer questions about the community for visitors and tourists, provide information on our exhibitions and historic house, help with mailings and program promotions, and assist the staff with everyday operations of the Cultural Arts Council.

First was Bark-in-the-Park and now we bring you… BARK-O-WEEN! Show off your doggy’s best costume while we have games and activities for all to enjoy. Vendors, giveaways, and treats provided.

Free outdoor gospel concert featuring gospel choirs, groups and soloist from the Atlanta Metro Area. Also come out to support local small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Plus you have a chance to register to vote if you haven’t already. We didn’t forget the kids, we have fun for them too.
Enjoy a mini two-day camp full of physical fitness, fun activities, crafts and more. Snacks are provided. Campers must bring their lunch.

Ages: 5 -12
International Day of the Girl is an international observance day declared by the United Nations. The observation supports more opportunities for girls and increased awareness of gender inequality, faced by girls worldwide. The theme for this year is, “Digital Generation. Our Generation.” There will be break-out sessions and discussions to include: yoga, dance, volunteering, online exploitation, and business etiquette/interviewing. This event is for teenage girls ages 12-18. If attending as a group (church, school, youth organization), one chaperone must attend for every 10 participants.
